Microchipping

Microchipping

Have you ever been separated from your beloved pet? If so, you understand that you can feel helpless to find them again. Fortunately, an innovative, inexpensive and permanent solution known as a microchip has been developed to help reunite pets with their lost owners.

A microchip approximately the size of a grain of rice is inserted under the skin between the shoulder blades of your dog or cat. Each microchip contains a code which is specific to you and your pet. In the event your pet is lost, most animal controls agencies, shelters and veterinary clinics have microchip readers which can identify the code, and you can be contacted to have your precious pet returned to you.

Bell County Animal Clinic is pleased to offer microchipping services to their clients, and recommend them to all pet owners. If your pet has not been microchipped, give us a call at 606-248-4243 to set up an appointment to get your pet “chipped”. If your pet is ever lost, you’ll be glad you did!
