    BCAC is open six days a week.
  • What do I do if my pet has an emergency and BCAC is not open?

    Just as annual exams are important for people, pets need annual exams for a healthy and active life.
  • How can I tell if my pet is sick and needs medical attention?
    Dogs and cats exhibit different behaviors when they need a vet's help.
  • Are there forms available on the Web site?
    Yes, this site provides two forms: a new client form and an animal clinic consent form. Both forms may be printed from the site.
  • How can I determine my dog's or cat's age?
    The best way to determine your dog's or cat's age is to use a chart for the dog and a chart for the cat.
  • When should my puppy get vaccinations?

    A six-week old puppy needs a thorough examination, including fecal; a first vaccination for distemper and parvovirus; and worming.

    A nine-week old puppy needs a second vaccination for distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, and Parainfluenza.

    A twelve-week old puppy needs a rabies vaccination and a third vaccination for distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, and parainfluenza.

    On an annual basis, discuss recommended annual exams and vaccinations with your vet. Vaccinations schedules should be tailored for the individual dog.

  • When should my kitten get vaccinations?

    An eight-week old kitten needs a first vaccination for feline distemper, a check for feline leukemia and immunodeficiency virus, and worming.

    A twelve-week old kitten needs a rabies vaccination and a distemper booster.
